Margaux on stage...

The expression "Deus ex macchina" comes from the greek antique tragic theater and means litteraly "the god that comes out of the machine". Introduced unexpectedly right in the middle of the performance, at the great pleasure of the public, the greek actors incarnating exclusively gods, were bringing messages and surprising solutions to the performed story. In the same way, Margaux brings on stage her "own deus" which is nothing else that her own inner divinity. We are all DEI ex MACCHINA. We all bear our own divinity. But, please, let's not see here a source of power or vanity ! As a matter of fact, she likes to play at exaggerating and exacerbating the notion of narcissism and ego which concerns all of us. This latine expression can appear "egocentric" and allows then a propicious approach and work on selfconsciousness. Watch and show the ego - the illusionary image of own self - emphasizes the existence and the possibility of its opposite - our genuine self being. Showing and widening the ego with objectivity helps identifying and observing it with a distance. Seeing how ridiculous the ego is brings us back to a will of self-knowledge and improvement. We must all be honest and accept we have an ego ! And we must learn to do with it. This is another point of Margaux 's artistic work, using mainly humanity and life as a support of creation. Self-knowledge is the beginning of awakening and the only lasting source of change for our civilization. Watch, feel and learn our own humanity without deforming mental representations (based on our lack of love, insecurity, ignorance), this is what Margaux proposes with lots of love and respect.
